As a Chief Estimator, you will lead pursuit and estimating activities, ensuring that cost efficient quantities and construction practices meet our pursuit, schedule and pricing goals. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing WA District!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Bring your diverse ideas to build stronger, more resilient communities.​</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Apply now and transform your career with us.</p>\n<h2>What you will be doing</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. </li>\n <li>Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures. </li>\n <li>Provides technical and industry knowledge towards risk, contract management, owner relationships and vendor or subcontractor partnerships. </li>\n <li>Organizes and supervises estimating teams to prepare bids, select vendors or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of project to bid. </li>\n <li>Delegates review of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project to meet disadvantages business requirements and minority participation agreements. </li>\n <li>Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions. </li>\n <li>Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required. </li>\n <li>10+ year experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience working with WA agencies preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience leading pursuit and estimating activities for large or complex projects. </li>\n <li>Construction, design, finance and management experience required. </li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software. </li>\n <li>Specialized knowledge and experience in alternative construction delivery methods. </li>\n <li>Able to lead pursuit and estimating activities on a large or complex pursuit project. </li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of best practices to control and reduce pursuit costs, quantities and risk. </li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software. </li>\n <li>Strong communication and technical writing skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why work for us</h2>\n<p>Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program</li>\n <li>Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP</li>\n <li>Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical</li>\n <li>Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.</p>\n<h2>Salary Min</h2>USD $160,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Salary Max</h2>USD $240,000.00/Yr.",
