    "description": "<p>Charles River CFO, Inc. (CRCFO) has an immediate need for a seasoned <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Interim FT CFO leader with deep community banking experience. </span>This engagement will be up to a year and has the potential to become permanent. The requirement is 35-40 hour per week. The client has a high preference for candidates near Allentown, PA that can be onsite, but will consider hybrid or remote situations for the right candidate. They need someone to stat ASAP.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role is ideal for an experienced CFO who enjoys stepping in when organizations have immediate, high-impact financial leadership needs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Please answer the qualifying questions in detail since they are weighted heavily in the screening process before scheduling an interview.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Qualifications &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li>\n<li>CPA preferred, but not required</li>\n<li>A minimum of eight (8) years' related accounting/finance experience and (5) years in a CFO role.</li>\n<li>CFO with experience in smaller banks (less than $1M total assets) experience helpful</li>\n<li>Must be hands on with experience and ability to perform as well as direct</li>\n<li>Living in the Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton Metropolitan Area/Lehigh Valley a plus</li>\n<li>Systems: COCC (INSIGHT) banking core / Oracle accounting module</li>\n<li>Prepare and review financial statements and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements</li>\n<li>Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors, regulators, and examiners; provide requested documentation and support audit and examination processes</li>\n<li>Oversee and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational visibility</li>\n<li>Monitor organizational cash balances, liquidity, and funding requirements; support cash management and treasury activities</li>\n<li>Review financial transactions and reporting activity to identify variances, risks, or unusual activity and ensure appropriate resolution</li>\n<li>Review and approve financial reports prepared by accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external requirements</li>\n<li>Oversee accounts payable and financial operations processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial analysis and reserve calculations, as applicable</li>\n<li>Oversee secure transfer of funds and ensure proper controls and procedures are followed for financial transactions</li>\n<li>Participate as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to financial strategy, risk management, and organizational planning</li>\n<li>Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting and performance monitoring</li>\n<li>Support asset and liability planning, investment oversight, and long-term financial strategy development</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external partners on tax preparation, compliance, and financial reporting matters</li>\n<li>Lead or support special financial projects, system improvements, and operational initiatives as needed</li>\n<li>Implement departmental and organizational financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financial operations and reporting</li>\n<li>Promote strong internal controls, risk management practices, and operational integrity across the finance function</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Charles River CFO, Inc.</span></p>\n<p>Founded in 2003, Charles River CFO, Inc. is a premier FAO (Fractional, Interim, and Outsourced) financial services firm serving clients across life sciences, high technology, manufacturing, professional services, and nonprofit sectors.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Our clients range from venture-backed start-ups to middle-market and publicly traded companies.
