If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please click the submit button and follow the next steps.<br>Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is \"On-Site\" at the location detailed in the job post.<br><br><br>** Positions can be filled by a Maintenance Operator 1, Maintenance Operator 2, or Maintenance Operator 3 based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidates. **<br><br>&nbsp;<br><br>Job Summary/Purpose<br><br>Under general supervision, the incumbent will be responsible to Understand and Maintain a Good Working Knowledge of the various Power Plant Technical Systems. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing highly complex instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical work involved in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, adjustment and calibration of instrumentation and electrical equipment (e.g. meters and instruments, automatic combustion control equipment, regulating devices).&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;<br><br>Job Duties/Responsibilities<br><br>1. Troubleshoot, identify, maintain, and make repairs to power plant equipment. Perform Lockout/Tag out of equipment for maintenance work following the Fossil Tagging Procedure.&nbsp;<br><br>2. &nbsp;Specific knowledge and use of mechanical measuring devices, instruments, controls, regulating devices, and electrical equipment used in power plants.&nbsp;<br><br>3. &nbsp;Be familiar with principles of operation and function of steam boilers, turbo generators, pumps, heaters, steam traps, piping systems, pressure and level regulators and their controls, electrical distribution systems, and balance of plant systems.&nbsp;<br><br>4. &nbsp;Comply with all Fossil Safety Procedures and Policies.&nbsp;<br><br>5. &nbsp;Step-up to Temporary Supervisor or Contract Administrator position with responsibility for other employees and/or contractors.&nbsp;<br><br>6. &nbsp;Be available to work overtime as needed. Be willing to work under unusual as well as normal working conditions pertaining to a power plant environment.&nbsp;<br><br>7. Uses elementary principles of mechanical measuring devices, instruments, controls, and regulating devices as used in generating plants. Troubleshoot, identify, and make repairs to the plant equipment including performing preventative maintenance tasks.&nbsp;<br><br>8. Perform water chemistry analysis on the boiler makeup water system to ensure water chemistry is within proper control ranges. &nbsp;Make adjustments to water chemistry, as needed, by controlling chemical feed and/or blow down rates. &nbsp;Work with Operations and water treatment vendor to properly monitor overall chemistry program.&nbsp;<br><br>9. Installs new control system equipment as required. &nbsp;Properly uses electrical and control system specific test equipment and other similar tools.&nbsp;",
