    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Summary/Objective:&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>As a valued member of our team, the Plant Tech will be reporting to the shift supervisor to ensure the daily, efficient operation of the plant. You will perform minor repairs and maintenance to ensure continued plant operations. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Supervisory Responsibilities: &nbsp;No</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Functions:</p><p><br></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Fabricate new or replacement parts for dump trucks, trailers, and wheel wash unit.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of plant.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the plant.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the plant.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Promote, execute, and adhere to the company&rsquo;s Safety Program and encourage all &nbsp; employees, sub-contractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company&rsquo;s Safety Program.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist the Plant Lead with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inspect and perform maintenance on plant parts.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Access the top of the tower to change screens and screen deck.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Access incline conveyors for inspection and maintenance.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Access all areas of the plant to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable regulations affecting sand plant production, safety, environmental, state, federal, and company policies; ensure observance of such regulations; and ensure compliance with all regulations and permit conditions.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrate the ability to follow directions.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to accurately complete daily paperwork which includes plant production reports, material produced.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to perform quality control duties and work with quality control techs.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must not be afraid of heights.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform other maintenance related duties on-site as required by supervisors.</p><p><br></p><p>Non-Essential Duties:</p><p><br></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.</p><p><br></p><p>Core Competencies:</p><p><br></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of plant and other heavy equipment.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Understanding computerized controls and electronics.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Positon Type/Expected Hours of Work&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are specific to the assigned shift.
