Then make AIT Worldwide Logistics the next stop on your career ladder!</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As <strong>Operations Agent Drayage,</strong> you will be responsible for the daily coordination and execution of container drayage movements between ports, terminals, depots, warehouses, and customer locations. You play a key operaitonal role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and reliable port-related logistics flows within AIT's global forwarding network. This position requires strong operational coordination, proactive communication, and the ability to perform under the dynamic conditions of port and drayage operations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate and monitor container drayage operations within the port and hinterland</li>\n <li>Plan and schedule container pickups, deliveries, and returns in line with operational priorities</li>\n <li>Communicate daily with truckers, terminals, depots, and internal AIT teams</li>\n <li>Track container status and proactively manage delays, congestion, or operational exceptions</li>\n <li>Ensure correct handling of loaded and empty containers, including demurrage and detention control</li>\n <li>Verify transport instructions, container numbers, seals, and port documentation</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with port regulations, safety standards, and AIT operational procedures</li>\n <li>Accurately register and update all activities in AIT’s transport management systems</li>\n <li>Handle operational incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective actions</li>\n <li>Contribute to continuous improvement of drayage processes and service performance</li>\n <li>Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met</li>\n <li>Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines</li>\n <li>Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies</li>\n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month</li>\n <li>Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)</li>\n <li>Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/ unsecure/ unhealthy conditions and possible improvements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in drayage, container transport, or port logistics</li>\n <li>Familiarity with port terminals, depots, and trucking operations</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of container equipment and documentation</li>\n <li>Utilizes established procedures but decides action within task</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment</li>\n <li>Attention to detail</li>\n <li>Problem Solving</li>\n <li>Fluent oral and written English required, Dutch is an advantage</li>\n <li>Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred</li>\n <li>Cargo Wise Software experience a plus</li>\n <li>ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations</li>\n <li><p>VGB security clearance (or the ability to obtain it) is required for this position</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>We believe in rewarding your talent and supporting your growth.
