Licensed by the State of Indiana as a Registered Respiratory Therapist</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>At least one year of on-the-job training <span data-grayt-phrase=\"preferred.\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhaypqpft34wwy\" data-grammar-rule=\"3870146882622565110\">preferred.</span></p><p><strong>Job Knowledge:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Knowledge of current trends and techniques <span data-grayt-phrase=\"in the\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhb1m6hkuephor\" data-grammar-rule=\"15547839233312589018\">in the</span> respiratory practice.</p><p><strong>Special Demands:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Respiratory Licensure, CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB-SPECIFIC CRITERIA</strong></p><p><strong><u>Basic Therapy Modalities.</u></strong>&nbsp; Performs the following modalities: oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, aerosol treatments, flutter, pulse oximetry, EKG&rsquo;s, <span data-scayt-word=\"MDI\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhb8505v8w2iyr\">MDI</span>. &nbsp;Use and understanding of respiratory medications. Adjusts therapy as needed per protocol. Document and charge patient effectively</p><p><strong><u>Diagnostic procedures and special procedures/ventilator system.</u></strong> Pulmonary function test, stress test, <span data-scayt-word=\"holters\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhbb5dvbpq3b1o\">holters</span>, EEG&rsquo;s, arterial blood gas and analysis, C-section and delivery standby, CPR, intubation, Code Blue and patient&rsquo;s in distress codes, airway suctioning. Set up ventilators as ordered by physician or via RT parameters. Understanding of modes of ventilation and vent parameters. Checks and maintains equipment while in use. <span data-grayt-phrase=\"Checks\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhcdgwtaol3uom\" data-grammar-rule=\"13464272798800146022\">Checks</span> patient and equipment and document results by policy. Cleans and checks <span data-grayt-phrase=\"ventilator\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhch2jsye8wmxv\" data-grammar-rule=\"5732861102520376073\">ventilator</span> function after use. Set up and <span data-grayt-phrase=\"use of\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr9bhckgw9xkkfwbn\" data-grammar-rule=\"4391190024384588050\">use of</span> BiPAP and CPAP equipment via RT parameters.
