Manage and facilitate execution and maintenance of telecom asset sharing agreements.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job Description</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><b>What you’ll do: </b></p><ul><li>Learns and adheres to policies, procedures, standards, codes, and regulations relevant to assignments.</li><li>Pursues Zero Harm.</li><li>Develops knowledge of American Electric Power (AEP) networks, components, and facilities to enable more efficient and comprehensive responses to projects and problems.</li><li>Learns AEP&#39;s organizational structure and specific role and responsibility of one&#39;s individual organizational unit.</li><li>Completes other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>1. Telecom Network Analysis &amp; Feasibility</b></p><ul><li>Perform technical assessments of telecom assets, including fiber availability, routing, capacity, and infrastructure constraints.</li><li>Review and interpret network diagrams, one‑line drawings, AutoCAD files, and KMZ maps to evaluate feasibility and optimization opportunities.</li><li>Identify network gaps, risks, and opportunities to support asset leasing, third‑party use, or utility sharing.</li><li>Recommend technically and contractually viable solutions, including alternate routes when capacity or ownership constraints exist.</li><li>Analyze and differentiate telecom traffic routing across company‑owned versus third‑party infrastructure.</li></ul><p><b>2. Contract Support</b></p><ul><li>Support development, execution, and maintenance of telecom asset‑use agreements, including:<ul><li>Communication Services</li><li>Co‑location agreements</li><li>Fiber leases</li><li>Indefeasible Rights of Use (IRUs)</li><li>Structure attachment agreements</li></ul></li><li>Translate OSP and network configurations into clear graphical representations and contractual language.</li><li>Identify and document telecommunication traffic placed on non‑company owned assets in support of contractual, financial, and compliance requirements.</li><li>Work with internal and external legal professionals.</li></ul><p><b>3. Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Workflow Management</b></p><ul><li>Manage Business Development (ABD) inquiries from intake through assessment and project handoff.</li><li>Coordinate ServiceNow tasking, documentation updates, approvals, and status tracking.</li><li>Partner with Business Development, Engineering, Field, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.</li><li>Prepare conceptual scopes, feasibility summaries, and assessment recommendations for stakeholder review.</li></ul><p><b>4. Documentation, Compliance &amp; Quality Assurance</b></p><ul><li>Compile and maintain technical, customer, and contractual data required for feasibility assessments and agreements.</li><li>Produce structured assessment reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with company standards, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maintain thorough records of communications, changes, approvals, and final documents.</li><li>Archive all project and assessment materials for audit support and future planning.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we are looking for:</b></p><p><b>Telecommunications Consultant Associate SG6</b></p><p><i>Education: </i></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study</li><li>Or associate’s degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience</li><li>Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required.</li></ul><p><i>Experience:</i></p><ul><li>No additional experience, other than what is listed above, is required.</li></ul><p><i>Licenses/Certifications:</i></p><ul><li>Valid Driver&#39;s License is Required.</li></ul><p><i>In addition: </i></p><ul><li>Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.</li><li>Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
