This role is responsible for supporting the estimating and preconstruction process by developing accurate cost models, conducting detailed quantity take-offs, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and assisting with budget development.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Location: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sacramento, CA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates during the preconstruction phase.</li>\n<li>Build and maintain historical cost data to support benchmarking, forecasting, and future project planning.</li>\n<li>Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with Preconstruction Management, Estimating, subcontractors, clients, and the design team to ensure accurate project documentation and alignment throughout preconstruction.</li>\n<li>Support value engineering initiatives to achieve cost efficiency while preserving scope, quality, and design intent.</li>\n<li>Participate in constructability reviews and site investigations to provide input and guidance to the design team and client.</li>\n<li>Assist in developing project phasing plans, bid packages, and procurement strategies to support successful project delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we are looking for:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.</li>\n<li>3+ years of experience in estimating, cost engineering, or preconstruction within a commercial general contracting environment.</li>\n<li>Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Sage, Timberline, WinEst, or similar) and on-screen take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam, OST).</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with CSI divisions and construction means and methods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Full Time / Salary Range:</span> $100k-$130k/year (Depending on experience)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>100% Health insurance for Employee</li>\n<li>401(k) with company match</li>\n<li>Dental / Vision insurance</li>\n<li>Paid time off</li>\n<li>Sick Days</li>\n<li>Wellness Days</li>\n<li>Paid Holidays</li>\n<li>Discretionary Bonus</li>\n<li>Company sponsored events in the community</li>\n<li>Recruiting Bonuses</li>\n<li>Company Credit Card </li>\n<li>Phone Allowance</li>\n<li>Annual Christmas Party with Hotel</li>\n<li>Use of SBJ Kings Suite - Light the Beam!</li>\n</ul>",
