The ideal candidate has strong technical, customer service, and problem-solving skills. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all work adhering to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Keep records of hour meter readings for power equipment at assigned location</li>\n <li>Complete and record all scheduled required servicing</li>\n <li>Maintain all tools in good working order</li>\n <li>Report to small tools superintendent on each visual inspection of problems that would require replacement or major repair</li>\n <li>Notify supervisor of any complications when servicing that would make equipment inoperable</li>\n <li>Overhaul small gas and diesel engines</li>\n <li> Keep a check and balance on parts and tools</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of work site and tools</li>\n <li>Report all oil spills to supervisor</li>\n <li>Train on use and maintenance of new tools</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of relevant utility construction experience</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experienced in underground utilities such as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and structures</li>\n <li>Three years of related experience and/or training</li>\n <li>OSHA or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms</li>\n <li>Regularly talk or hear</li>\n <li>Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n <li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds</li>\n <li>Vision abilities include distance, depth perception and ability to adjust focus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions </li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>H&K</strong> provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency and value.
