Provide safety input during planning, acquisition, inspection, and retirement of equipment and vehicles. Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training programs to employees, leadership, and contractors. Promote a culture of health and safety throughout the organization, reinforcing accountability at all levels. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation (Occupational Health and Safety Code, Workers Compensation Board requirements, Transportation Safety Codes, etc.). Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices, adapting the HSMS as needed. Act as a safety advisor to senior leadership, providing updates, metrics, and strategic recommendations. Participate in senior management meetings and committees, integrating safety into broader organizational strategies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CRSP, NCSO, CHSC) preferred.
