    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>We are currently hiring a Cost Accountant in Boston, MA.</strong></p><p>The Cost Accountant is responsible for activities related to inventory accuracy for outside warehouses &amp; contract brewery locations, preparing journal entries and reconciliations for month-end close, ad-hoc analysis to drive efficiencies within the cost team, and other required reporting.</p><p><strong>What You'll Brew:</strong></p><p>• Month end close preparation, including booking of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.<br>• Monthly analysis and reporting for specific Other COGS accounts (ex: Miscellaneous COGS)<br>• Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers and physical inventory adjustments on a timely basis to ensure real-time inventory levels.<br>• Maintain inventory accuracy by preparing inventory reconciliations; research and resolve all discrepancies within given time frame<br>• Weekly review of in-transit inventory and resolution of discrepancies<br>• Support interim and annual audit related to Cost Accounting requests<br>• Schedule, coordinate and participation in physical and cycle count inventories for outside warehouses and contract brewery locations in compliance with internal &amp; external auditor requirements<br>• Maintain cost accounting procedures and 3rd party contacts listing to ensure up to date<br>• Assist with other projects, reconciliations, and reporting as assigned</p><p><strong>What Ingredients You'll Bring:</strong></p><p><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></p><p>• 2-4 years of experience in cost accounting or related field in support of monthly close, inventory records management, internal reporting and analysis in a food, beverage or other consumer-branded/manufacturing business preferred</p><p><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u><br>• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, &amp; PowerPoint), SAP experience a plus</p><p>Level: 7IC</p><p>At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $61,000 and $109,000. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
