Butler Machinery wants you to be a Service Advisor, coordinating and scheduling service technician&rsquo;s time, invoicing work orders, and communicating quotes, job status and scheduling.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We have a generous retirement plan with 10% guaranteed and up to 5% discretionary provided by the company annually once eligibility is met, with no minimum required contributions out of your pocket. This is your opportunity to grow professionally with an industry-leading equipment provider with a 70+ year presence in the marketplace!</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br>Responsibilities:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assists the Service Manager in quoting, estimating, and delivering CVA&rsquo;s (service contracts) upcoming jobs coming into the service department.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assigns jobs and work areas to Service Technicians according to their skills and knowledge.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Seeks customer feedback proactively, anticipates problems and responds promptly.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responds and follows up to employee issues and concerns.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reviews all repair work orders for accuracy concerning parts, materials and labor, and approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Works with the Service Manager or supervisor in all aspects of the service department in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager (may fill the Service Manager&#39;s role in their absence).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Advises Service Manager of all customer complaints.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assists the team in the implementation of Contamination Control Guidelines.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Meets with Service Manager on a regular basis to review department performance profitability and efficiencies.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exhibits technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership&rsquo;s area of responsibility.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Butler Machinery Company.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Seeks and participates proactively in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participates in all company/location driven communication efforts, including customer events, department meetings and other related efforts.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position requires taking afterhours calls to support customers and technicians as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Supervisory Duties:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Organizes, communicates, and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating employees and promoting self-development.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicates with and coaches employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Selects, trains, and develops employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Qualifications:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A High school and/or technical school education or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong customer service skills&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong computer skills&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong technical knowledge&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent oral and written communication skills&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong time management skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to multi-task</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">As a family business for three generations, we currently employ over 900 associates in 20 locations throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Nebraska.
