    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Opportunity:  Massage Therapist</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Licensed Massage Therapist this individual, through their touch, will relieve pain and stress, assist in rehabilitation of injuries, improve circulation, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.</p>\n<p> <strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess and accommodates guest needs by inquiring about their physical well-being in order to perform appropriate service.</li>\n <li>Recommend spa products that fit the guest’s needs.</li>\n <li>Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues to meet desired results in a professional manner.</li>\n <li>Perform body treatments on guests using safe and professional techniques.</li>\n <li>Maintain appropriate inventory of all products necessary to perform all massages and body treatments including towels, sheets, robes, products, etc.</li>\n <li>Present a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.</li>\n <li>Constantly maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the personal services performed.</li>\n <li>Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.</li>\n <li>Uphold the standards of sanitation, sterilization, and restocking rooms.</li>\n <li>Attend and participate in all team educational meetings and trainings.</li>\n <li>Adhere to schedule requirements.</li>\n <li>Assist in any and all ways in the spa when not scheduled to perform services.</li>\n <li>Perform other related services as assigned by supervisor/manager.</li>\n <li>Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.<strong> </strong></li>\n <li>Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited school of massage therapy.</li>\n <li>Must maintain a current state license.</li>\n <li>Minimum 1+ year of experience as licensed massage therapist.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment and Context</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Believe</strong></p>\n<p>People Are Our Capability – Hearts That Serve – Only Excellence – Stay Nimble - Own It</p>\n<h2>About Us </h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Sanctuary Beach Resort is an oceanfront Monterey Bay resort and hotel set on 19 acres of Pacific shoreline in Marina, California.
