This position requires one weekend a month, one holiday the first and second half of the year, as well as, required to participate in class time at Wayne HealthCare as part of their role.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">High School diploma or equivalent</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Active enrollment in the final year of a pre-licensure nursing school degree program for registered nursing (ASN, BSN or Transition to ASN Track)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Must maintain satisfactory grades while enrolled in nursing program (C or better).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Certification in CPR</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Basic computer skills</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Agreement signed for employment time commitment with Human Resources.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provides appropriate patient care, demonstrating knowledge of growth, development, and safety needs for all patient populations at Wayne HealthCare.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Assists nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily care activities while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Supports clinical staff by accurately obtaining and documenting vital signs, weights, intake and output, and assisting with specimen collection.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse to support clinical judgment and patient safety.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Assists with pre- and post-operative care, including patient preparation, post-op vital signs, and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics when applicable.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provides comfort measures such as turning and positioning patients, making occupied and unoccupied beds, and ensuring pressure-relief measures are in place.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Promotes infection prevention and safety by adhering to hospital policies, following standard precautions, and participating in emergency and safety drills.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, using whiteboards and respectful verbal updates to support care coordination.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Maintains equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment while complying with hospital confidentiality, attendance, and dress code policies.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Participates in training, education sessions, and quality improvement activities to enhance skills, support patient outcomes, and uphold Wayne HealthCare&rsquo;s mission.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">All other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p></div></div></div>\n",
