Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<p><strong>MAJOR JOB DUTIES:</strong>  <em>Duties include, but are not limited to the following:</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Properly present clean menus to our guests.</li>\n <li>Collect and inspect all menus, discarding the worn ones.</li>\n <li>Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.</li>\n <li>Supply guests with information on services available at the Hotel/Casino, including all of our restaurants.</li>\n <li>Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.</li>\n <li>Answer telephone at the hostess stand.</li>\n <li>Monitor the performance and completion of sidework.</li>\n <li>Handle initial guest complaints. Inform manager on duty immediately of any problems or concerns.</li>\n <li>Assure smooth transition during shift changes.  Remain on duty until relief is present and acknowledges that they are ready to take over.</li>\n <li>Ensure that tables are properly set to start each shift.</li>\n <li>Assist the manager with breaks.</li>\n <li>Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.</li>\n <li>Performs related work as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>The above statements represent a general outline of principal job functions and should not be construed as a complete description of all aspects and requirements inherent in this job.</em></strong></p>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE: </strong><em> </em>Experience in high volume full service restaurant. Good organizational and people skills are required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong><em>:    </em>High School Diploma or GED.                         </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS:</strong><em>   </em>Excellent communication skills.  Ability to perform basic math.  Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner.  Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members.  Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
