Description
Position Summary: Groundskeeper assists the grounds crew with the care and upkeep of the grounds at St. John’s Meadows and Brickstone. Able and willing to learn to operate lawn and snow and ice control equipment; able to work with and take direction from others and to learn and improve; self-motivated with the initiative to undertake and efficiently complete assigned tasks; good customer service skills. Flexibility in scheduling a must.
Qualifications & Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; possess a valid NYS driver’s license Must be dependable and self-motivated to accomplish tasks without constant supervision. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license. Must be able to interact with residents, visitors and staff in a positive and courteous manner. Fluent in the English Language. Meet and maintain St. John’s vehicle driving standards.

Care and upkeep of the lawns and landscaping Care and upkeep of the roads, parking areas and sidewalks including snow removal and ice control Empty outdoor trash containers and keep trash and other debris picked up around the grounds Maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles in proper condition Regular scheduled fleet maintenance on all vehicles Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Actively promotes the Eden journey and philosophy through behaviors and communication. Interacts with all staff in a manner that is respectful and collaborative. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, positivity, with a team-oriented approach that is focused on exceptional customer service.

Body Movements:
