It’s our talent that helps make Merchants Metals the first name in fence solutions.</p><p><u><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></u></p><p>· &nbsp;Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.</p><p>· &nbsp;Sort cargo before loading and unloading.</p><p>· &nbsp;Receive finished goods, inspect for damage, organize and accurately record inventory using production sheets or work tickets</p><p>· &nbsp;Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.</p><p>· &nbsp;Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.</p><p>· &nbsp;Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.</p><p>· &nbsp;Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.</p><p>· &nbsp;Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.</p><p>· &nbsp;Pull and prepare rolled/bundled fence product and load fencing rolls onto a flatbed truck for customers’ orders and shipping</p><p>· &nbsp;Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.</p><p>· &nbsp;Perform miscellaneous yard/warehouse duties as necessary and as directed by the supervisor</p><p>· &nbsp;Provide excellent customer service.</p><p>· &nbsp;Must be able to work overtime as required.</p><p><u><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></u></p><p>· &nbsp;Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required</p><p>· &nbsp;Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.</p><p>· &nbsp;Read work instructions and set up machines as required to run different product sizes.</p><p>· &nbsp;Stand or walk for the entire shift and use arms and back to perform the tasks associated with the role.</p><p>· &nbsp;Must be able to work overtime as required with Saturday availability.</p><p>· &nbsp;Forklift experience preferred</p><p>· &nbsp;Schedule 5:30pm - 5 am Monday-Friday</p><p><u><strong>Benefits: We’ve got you covered.</strong></u></p><p><strong>Merchants Metals offers benefits that are specifically designed to fit your needs.
