The company has recently expanded into new markets and business sectors, particularly in the infrastructure and specialist areas and has gained a reputation as a leading and reputable contractor who delivers quality assured solutions to its wide-ranging customer base.</p>\n<p>Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're committed to delivering an exciting career with learning, development and progression potential.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Defects Coordinator</span> to join our high performing team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPORTING TO:</span> Operations Manager</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LOCATION:</span> Newry</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CONTRACT TYPE:</span> Full-Time, Permanent</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">HOURS:</span> Monday – Friday (8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-2.30pm Fridays)</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with Client representatives to review defects that have been raised by Tenants</li>\n<li>Liaise with sub-contractors and internal resource to arrange quick and efficient closeout of notified defects.</li>\n<li>Allocate and coordinate multiple trades, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales</li>\n<li>Co-ordinate different defect workstreams to make remedial works as cost effective as possible.</li>\n<li>Liaise with the Operations Manager to notify of defects progress per project.</li>\n<li>Maintain registers of defects and track their progress to close out.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Candidate</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in a Construction related role</li>\n<li>Good Knowledge of construction project stages and terminology</li>\n<li>Enthusiastic and keen to develop</li>\n<li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li>\n<li>Excellent IT and creative presentation skills</li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy</li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales</li>\n<li>Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritisation of workload</li>\n<li>Ability to work on own initiative</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Attributes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.</li>\n<li>Excellent communicator, with ability to convey complex information well.</li>\n<li>The ability to create and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients.</li>\n<li>Highly organised in relation to management of tasks and deadlines.</li>\n<li>Good attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional information</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK and in the Republic of Ireland at the time of application. Proof of this will be required for any candidate who is successful in the role.</li>\n<li>This role will at time to time, require working in other locations, including construction sites or at client offices.
