Responsible for providing a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the bar &amp; restaurant in the absence of the Food and Beverage Director. Takes drink and/or food orders from guests or servers. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Serves wine, bottled and/or draught beer and ale. Rings drink orders into POS system, collects payments and makes change as necessary. Washes and sterilizes glass and stemware. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication and interact daily with guests and resort staff.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Must be at least 18 years old.&nbsp;</li><li>Post-secondary hospitality management training highly desirable.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in food preparation, front of house, and bar operation required.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory position recommended.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Assists as directed to oversee front of house operations in the absence the Food and Beverage Director.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend weekly stand up and precon meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists Food and Beverage Director and estimates the amount of beer, wine and liquor needed and submits order to Food and Beverage Director; checks accuracy and quality of deliveries. Maintains security of all beer, wine &amp; liquor.&nbsp;</li><li>Orders all beverages and necessary bar supplies.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervises all bartender/server activities, monitors drink preparation and methods.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Resolves customer complaints about food quality and/or service.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures that proper cash handling procedures are followed.&nbsp;</li><li>Assigns &amp; ensure completeness of all pre-shift and post shift duties.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists Food and Beverage Director with cleaning of bar and restaurant areas to maintain sanitation standards.
