Description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence . As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster. We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI. We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services. If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe. Location: Remote (75% Travel) About This Role As a Commissioning Engineer II, you will support the execution of commissioning activities across your assigned data center projects. You will be hands-on in the field — supporting the execution of test procedures, documenting results, coordinating with trade contractors, and helping drive systems through the commissioning lifecycle from pre-functional testing through turnover. This role is ideal for an engineer with foundational commissioning experience who is ready to take on greater technical responsibility and grow toward independent project ownership. Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately and in accordance with project requirements. Coordinate with trade contractors and subcontractors to schedule and support commissioning activities in the field. Review installation conditions against approved drawings, submittals, and specifications to verify readiness for testing. Assist in the development and review of commissioning test scripts, MOPs, and punch list documentation. Track open deficiencies, support adequate resolution and document formal closure in coordination with the project team. Participate and support startup activities and factory witness testing as assigned. Maintain up-to-date commissioning logs, field reports, and turnover documentation. Support integrated systems testing and reliability demonstrations for critical MEP, and BMS/EPMS infrastructure. Adhere to all site safety protocols and compliance requirements throughout commissioning activities. Communicate daily progress, issues, and risks to the lead CxE or Manager of Commissioning. What You'll Bring 2+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent field experience considered. Working knowledge of data center systems including power distribution and cooling infrastructure. Familiarity with commissioning levels L1 through L5 and respective requirements at each phase. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment submittals. Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits and the ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced field environment.
