    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Role</span></p>\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Technician to support PLC‑driven automation, robotics and injection moulding machinery in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.\nThis hands‑on role focuses on fault finding, preventative maintenance, die setting and continuous improvement to maximise OEE, safety and product quality. You will work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to minimise downtime and support reliable 24/7 operations.\nThis is a full‑time Sydney‑based role offering exposure to modern automation technology, stable employment and opportunities to contribute to system improvements and upgrades.\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Automation &amp; Technical Maintenance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nDiagnose, troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment\n</li>\n<li>\nService, repair and set up injection moulding machines, robotics, IML systems and auxiliaries\n</li>\n<li>\nFault‑find and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components\n</li>\n<li>\nPerform preventative and predictive maintenance, upgrades and calibrations\n</li>\n<li>\nComplete major overhauls and support complex processing and die‑setting issues\n</li>\n<li>\nInstall, modify and repair machinery with or without technical schematics\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Production &amp; Die Setting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nPerform die changes, insert and colour changes, machine start‑ups and shutdowns\n</li>\n<li>\nSet, adjust and optimise robotics, machine software and process parameters\n</li>\n<li>\nTroubleshoot production faults, including IML and high‑speed packaging issues\n</li>\n<li>\nMaintain cycle times and ensure products meet quality and specification standards\n</li>\n<li>\nSupport production operators to ensure safe and efficient machine operation\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuous Improvement</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nDevelop and implement automation improvements and new processes\n</li>\n<li>\nSupport continuous improvement through automation design, build, programming and optimisation\n</li>\n<li>\nAnalyse root causes of downtime, defects and waste and implement corrective actions\n</li>\n<li>\nMaintain accurate records of downtime, rejects, NCRs and maintenance activity\n</li>\n<li>\nRecommend improvements to equipment performance, productivity and product quality\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nWork closely with QA to ensure equipment meets product, regulatory and customer requirements\n</li>\n<li>\nEnsure compliance with site quality systems, HACCP and food safety standards\n</li>\n<li>\nVerify new or modified automation systems prior to production handover\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; Housekeeping</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nCarry out all work in line with WHS legislation, site procedures and permits\n</li>\n<li>\nIdentify, report and rectify hazards and near misses\n</li>\n<li>\nMaintain clean, safe and organised work areas and equipment\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Communication &amp; Team Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>\nCommunicate and escalate technical issues across shifts to ensure operational continuity\n</li>\n<li>\nSupervise and support third‑party service technicians as required\n</li>\n<li>\nAssist with training and upskilling of production and maintenance teams\n</li>\n<li>\nParticipate in toolbox talks, shift handovers and CI forums\n</li>\n</ul>",
