This role is heavily focused on fiber and copper installations, cable management, and ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable connectivity across the facility.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Install, route, and secure <strong>fiber optic and copper cabling</strong>(Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, SM/MM fiber)</li><li>Perform <strong>rack and stack support</strong> with an emphasis on proper cable routing and management</li><li>Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber (LC, SC, MPO/MTP) and copper connections</li><li>Read and interpret <strong>cable run lists, floor plans, and network diagrams</strong></li><li>Label cables and ports according to data center standards and maintain accurate documentation</li><li>Perform cable tracing, auditing, and cleanup to maintain organized pathways</li><li>Use testing equipment such as <strong>OTDR, power meters, and cable certifiers</strong></li><li>Support <strong>build-outs, expansions, and decommissioning projects</strong></li><li>Ensure proper use of ladder racks, trays, and patch panels</li><li>Follow strict <strong>TIA/EIA and BICSI standards</strong> for structured cabling</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols, including working at heights and in confined spaces</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong> At least 1 year of prior data center rack and stack experience, including knowledge of data center hardware installation, cable management, and general data center operations.</li><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Basic understanding of server hardware, networking equipment, and how they integrate within a data center environment.</li><li><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs), bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
