Specific duties vary by truck type, such as hauling materials for dump trucks, transporting water for water trucks, or performing excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum systems for hydro vac trucks.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Supervisory Responsibilities:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>None<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Duties/Responsibilities:</em></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate and drive heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, and hydro vac trucks.</li>\n<li>Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.</li>\n<li>Load and unload cargo.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate driver logs and vehicle inspections, pre and post trip </li>\n<li>Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.</li>\n<li>Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.</li>\n<li>Report all accidents, near misses and other hazards.</li>\n<li>Planning routes efficiently and delivering freight on time.</li>\n<li>Complying with deferral and state trucking rules and regulations, including mandatory rest periods and weight restrictions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Specific duties by vehicle type </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Dump Truck</span>: Transport materials like dirt, sand, gravel, or waste from one site to another. Operate the truck's dumping mechanism.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Water Truck</span>: Transport and deliver water, often to construction or industrial sites for dust control, soil compaction, or other purposes.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hydro Vac Truck</span>: Use high-pressure water and a powerful vacuum to safely excavate and expose underground utilities (hydro excavation), which can include potholing, trenching, and pressure washing. This may also involve cleaning tanks and performing confined space entry.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Required Skills/Abilities: </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicable commercial driver’s license (Class B CDL).</li>\n<li>Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures</li>\n<li>Works well independently and with others under pressure.</li>\n<li>Good communication skills.</li>\n<li>Organized with attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Education and Experience:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years of Class B Driving experience.</li>\n<li>A clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><br>Physical Requirements: </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 400\">Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.</span><em><br></em></span></li>\n<li>Must be able to visually inspect machines.</li>\n<li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.</li>\n<li>Physical ability to stand, kneel, or walk for extended periods and to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
