    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Certified Nursing Assistant @ Swedish Cherry Hill</strong></p>\n<p><strong>12 Hour Shifts&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Swedish $0 premium plan Full-time caregivers (0.75-1.0 FTE) who earn less than $60,000 per year will be offered the Swedish PPO medical plan with a $0 premium cost, including dependent coverage. If you enroll in the Swedish PPO medical plan and meet the eligibility requirements, you will see the $0 premium plan option in the benefits enrollment system.</strong><br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n<p>The NAC assists in the delivery of patient care and department-related activities under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.</p>\n<p>Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Receives direction from the RN for delegation of tasks. Adheres to emergency policies and procedures associated with patient care.</li>\n <li>Transports patients as directed.</li>\n <li>Appropriately communicates and documents all daily activities and care provided to patient. Communicates and documents unusual and complex issues and changes in patient condition in a timely manner. Communicates and documents such actions accurately and legibly.</li>\n <li>Provides patient care as directed by team RN and within scope of practice. Duties performed may include, but are not limited to: making and changing beds, assisting with ADL’s, vital signs, urinary catheter care and removal, Intake &amp; Output’s, ambulation assistance, assisting patients to the bathroom, assisting patients with using a bedpan, assisting with pericare, assisting the patient with feeding, and performing chemstrip functions.</li>\n <li>Performs courtesy patient rounds with frequency as delegated by the RN.</li>\n <li>Answers the unit telephone and patient call system in a timely fashion.</li>\n <li>Responds appropriately and timely to unit and patient alarms.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with nurse and other team members to organize and prioritize functions necessary for patient admission and care delivery.</li>\n <li>Responsible for restocking supplies after use, maintains appropriate core stocking levels, works with manager or designee to improve unit and individual routines to assure adequate room supply without excess or depletion. Notifies nurse manager and/or designee and makes recommendation for par level adjustments.</li>\n <li>Works collaboratively to manage the use of supplies as directed, and charges for supplies used.</li>\n <li>Responsible to set up and maintain the neatness of patient rooms. Cleans equipment as directed.</li>\n <li>Maintains quality control logs such as for urine dip sticks, glucose controls, temperature log-book, and medication refrigerator temperatures.</li>\n <li>Assists with patient admission, discharge, transfer, and associated documentation. Responsible for the documentation and the care of patient belongings.</li>\n <li>Participates in system-wide emergency situations as directed.</li>\n <li>Actively participates in unit, department, and system-wide educational activities including Quality Improvement programs as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Competently performs assigned technical skills (i.e. bladder scans for PVR’s, specimen collection and testing, traction and trapeze equipment setup, glucose monitoring, dressing changes, Oxygen Saturation, listening to pulse, printing monitor strips, etc.).</li>\n <li>Able to perform the role of Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) as directed, by ensuring patient safety, taking responsibility for the environment of care and communicating with RN/charge RN/designee of changes to patient condition in a timely manner.&nbsp; Duties include performing patient care activities, and safety checks that align with system standard of care. Aligns patient safety, self-safety and environmental safety as equally important for best outcomes.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned, to insure effectiveness of care delivery and unit function.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License</li>\n <li>Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>6 months Six months of acute care experience.</li>\n <li>1 year Skilled nursing experience.</li>\n <li>Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course.</li>\n <li>Acute or skilled experience will be waived for students currently enrolled and in good standing at a traditional registered nursing program approved by the Nursing Quality Care Commission.
