Occasional overtime may be required </p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: Operations Supervisor</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Compensation: </strong>38.60$ (no ticket) - 40.82$ (with 3rd class Power Engineering ticket) + benefits as governed by CBA </p>\n<p>The CAD hourly rate for this position is $38.60 + benefits. Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. The hourly rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About This Position and About You</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This job is diverse in the mechanical ability to perform general plant operator duties. Work includes tank truck and railcar vessel opening, loading, and unloading, operation of pumps, piping, valves and general plant upkeep and maintenance. This job requires climbing stairs and ladders and lifting (within OSHA guidelines). This job consists of outside elements where radiant heat or cold is normal work environment, and rotating shifts.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualification </strong></p>\n<p>Knowledge</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</li>\n <li><strong>3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (strongly preferred) or in the process of obtaining</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Competencies </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Relevant experience in a plant environment performing similar duties is preferred. </li>\n <li>Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc. </li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer’s literature, diagrams or schematics.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform typical operations requirements such as truck loading and unloading, railcar loading and unloading, connecting/disconnecting hoses, operating valves, troubleshooting equipment/operational problems and operating plant equipment as needed. </li>\n <li>Replacement of nuts and bolts in pipe flanges ranging in size from 1” - 48” diameter flanges. </li>\n <li>Operation of the following mobile equipment: Front end loader, Track mobile, Forklifts, and other mobile equipment. </li>\n <li>Cleaning, sweeping, tool room and warehouse inventory, trash removal, digging, weed spraying, shoveling, fire watch and confined space hole attendance/entrant, other duties assigned by Supervisor.</li>\n <li>Physical capability of performing tasks in 40°C ambient temperatures while wearing Personal Protective Equipment </li>\n <li>Protection such as Acid-Resistant approved PVC rain suit (topcoat, bottom pants, rubber boots, gloves, and face shield) and Respirators. </li>\n <li>Must be able to work scheduled rotating 12 hr. shifts with intermittent 14 – 16-hour days for emergency operations/repairs. </li>\n <li>Maintain weekly timesheets in accurate format. </li>\n <li>Follow all plant Rules & Regulations including lack of tardiness and absenteeism. </li>\n <li>Be able to comply with all plant safety rules such as perform tasks utilizing all PPE;
