Responsibilities Develop and maintain NX templates, material libraries, start parts, customer defaults, drafting standards, and environment variables Establish and enforce NX modeling best practices, including the creation of Xcimer modeling guides/workflows, FAQs, and how-to guides Provide NX troubleshooting support to 20+ NX users (modeling/drafting command questions, settings and configuration questions, metadata questions, BOM structure questions, and other general questions) · Regularly communicate updates to NX processes to engineering and manufacturing teams Deliver training to NX users including regular internal user-group meetings and onboarding sessions for new users Serve as the liaison between NX users and Siemens and/or VAR support teams when support escalations are required Construct and maintain a reuse library of COTS items, hole/slot features, standard cutouts/interfaces, etc. Administer NX seat counts and add-ins over time, including: Managing the number of NX seats with changes in user headcount, researching/advising and onboarding NX add-ins based on user needs, maintaining a relationship with a VAR, and assisting with engineering software budget planning Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on NX experience in modeling parts and assemblies, and drafting drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 Expert level proficiency in NX modeling workflows: parametric solid modeling, surfacing, sheet metal, weldments, large assemblies, and master-modeling techniques Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum Desired Experience administering NX environments integrated with Teamcenter In-depth understanding of many manufacturing methods and DFMA practices, including 3/4/5 axis CNC machining, turning with live tooling, various additive manufacturing processes, sheet metal forming, welding, etc.
