The Director of Medicine ensures high-quality patient care, oversees medical providers, guides professional development, supports operational excellence, and represents the CMO internally and externally when needed.</p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Administration</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Collaborate with the CMO and site leadership to provide vision and oversight for primary care services.</li>\n\t<li>Supervise Associate Directors of Medicine, Clinical Directors, and Clinical Mentors while supporting the professional growth of new providers.</li>\n\t<li>Develop and recommend patient care policies, procedures, and practice protocols.</li>\n\t<li>Represent the CMO in their absence, internally and externally.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Clinical Care &amp; Coverage</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Provide high-quality primary care on a part-time basis, maintaining a panel of patients.</li>\n\t<li>Offer after-hours and on-call coverage on a rotating basis.</li>\n\t<li>Provide coverage at Chelsea when other medical providers are unavailable.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Quality &amp; Performance Improvement</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Lead quality improvement initiatives, including setting and monitoring clinical indicators.</li>\n\t<li>Conduct peer chart reviews and participate in quality management groups.</li>\n\t<li>Monitor provider productivity and ensure alignment with budgetary and performance goals.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Operations &amp; Workflow</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Partner with Administrative Operations to manage provider schedules and time-off requests.</li>\n\t<li>Collaborate with Patient Experience leadership to optimize workflows.</li>\n\t<li>Work with referral leadership to build a network of specialists and outside facilities.</li>\n\t<li>Coordinate with local hospitals to support patient transfers and admissions.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Training &amp; Development</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Oversee recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of medical providers.</li>\n\t<li>Conduct 90-day evaluations and ongoing supervision for new staff.</li>\n\t<li>Facilitate departmental meetings and provider education.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Community &amp; Representation</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Represent Callen-Lorde at professional conferences, trainings, and community events.</li>\n\t<li>Maintain availability for case presentations, committee consultation, and other organizational needs.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong>Work Schedule</strong></p>\n\n<p>Callen-Lorde&#39;s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time exempt position with regular business hours.
