We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing and updating mining plans in cooperation with corporate mining personnel.</li>\n <li>Providing support to quarry personnel on mining and crushing operations as needed, including implementation of mining plans.</li>\n <li>On-going review and optimization of mining related key performance efficiency indicators</li>\n <li>Performing GPS quarry surveys</li>\n <li>Updating mineral reserves</li>\n <li>Working closely with plant Quality Manager to ensure quality and consistency of the quarried material</li>\n <li>Supporting permitting and compliance activities</li>\n <li>Supporting the quarry personnel with optimizing mobile equipment operations, including completion of time studies</li>\n <li>Perform training of quarry personnel as needed</li>\n <li>Completing internal and external quarry operations reports</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree in Mining Engineering or Geology</li>\n <li><p>Two (2) to five (5) years working as a Mining Manager / Engineer. Prior experience with open pit mining required.</p></li>\n <li>Self-motivated and results driven.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong planning and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Solid computer skills including Surpac Mining Software and MS Office.</li>\n <li>AutoCAD knowledge is a plus</li>\n <li>Requires physical dexterity to navigate through and around various job conditions, including climbing, walking on less-than-optimal surfaces, etc.</li>\n <li>Must be able to tolerate noise, dust, and dirty conditions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Buzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  </em><em>Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and that only qualified candidates will be contacted.  </em></p>",
