Description
Richmond Family Practice is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This centrally located practice is located in Halifax on the peninsula. This practice is comprised of 10+ full-time and part-time Family Physicians, is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. There is a family practice nurse approved for this clinic who will be shared amongst physicians. There is an opportunity to do minor procedures on site. Clinic uses Acuro EMR.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures;
Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners Act as a patient’s advocate Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements Expected Hours
only part time office space is available at this time.
All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
