Postúlese aquí para iniciar una extraordinaria carrera hoy mismo. </b></p><p></p><p></p><p>At aes we are looking for a Turbine Operator</p><p><u><b>Role description:</b></u></p><p>Under the direction of the Shift Team Leader, the Turbine Operator monitors and operates all related equipment and systems associated with the Steam Turbine Generator.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Responsabilities:</b></u></p><ul><li><p>Strict adherence to safety regulations and policies.</p></li><li><p>Participates as an active member of the AES Puerto Rico plant wide meetings.</p></li><li><p>Operates all Turbine area equipment in a correct, efficient and safe manner. Includes operating pumps, motors, transformers, compressors and valves, as directed by the Control Room Operator, for plant start-up and shut down.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for monitoring and testing the water and steam quality of the Boiler Water chemistry.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and execute Lock Out/Tag Out of area systems and equipment, and restore such systems and equipment to operation after maintenance</p></li><li><p>Assist maintenance and contractor personnel preparing area work clearance permits.</p></li><li><p>Perform simple, routine maintenance actions, as training and experience allows, such as cleaning or changing filters, lubricating operating equipment, cleaning and lubricating valves, and changing oil.</p></li><li><p>Conduct air tests to prepare confined space entry and hot work permits.</p></li><li><p>Perform as a Confined Space Monitor, if needed by maintenance actions.</p></li><li><p>Perform area safety inspections and tests on such equipment as fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, emergency lighting, safety showers and eyewashes, and ladders.</p></li><li><p>Inform Control Room Operator, Maintenance Department, and Area Leader of status of area operating equipment, and problems as discovered.</p></li><li><p>Provide shift relief support when necessary, for vacations and sick leave.</p></li><li><p>Perform routine operational inspections of area systems and equipment, and keep up operating logs and records.</p></li><li><p>Performs special assignments as directed by the Operation Manager and Water treatment Area Leader.</p></li><li><p>Prepares work requests for maintenance personnel.</p></li><li><p>Maintain the housekeeping of the work area at a very high level.</p></li><li><p>Must successfully pass certification requirements for a Boiler and Turbine Operator.</p></li><li><p>Performs other related duties as assigned by the Team Leader.</p></li></ul><p><u><b>Requirements:</b></u></p><ul><li><p><span>Associate Degree or Bachelor degree in a technical, engineering field or equivalent experience preferred</span></p></li><li><p><span>Five years of plan operations experience is preferred with two years in the area of power generation. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Qualified in the operation of the Turbine and Boiler. <span> </span>Qualification in Water Treatment and Material Handling is a plus. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Indebt knowledge of integrated boiler and turbine operations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong interpersonal relationship skills. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven strong performance in previous roles. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Self-motivated. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong problem solving and decision making skills. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven leadership and communications skills. </span></p></li><li><p><span><span> </span>Works well with others in a team environment. </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Nosotros somos la energía que mejora la vida de más de 10 millones de personas, a través de los muchos beneficios que provee la electricidad.&nbsp;</b></p>",
