How you’ll contribute A Echocardiology Technician who excels in this role: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Required Skills: Familiarity with organization and functions of each hospital department Leadership ability, integrity, and initiative required. Ability to solve problems effectively and handle stress in a positive manner. Maintain harmonious relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital administration, and all hospital department.
