The Senior Software Developer designs, develops, and maintains enterprise software applications across NTSB's Microsoft-centric, Azure-hosted environment, contributing independently across the full development lifecycle.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and develop ASP.NET Core web APIs and web-component-based user interfaces using .NET Core MVC frameworks in C#</li>\n <li>Build and maintain enterprise applications including full-stack .NET solutions using JavaScript, JSON, HTML5, and CSS</li>\n <li>Design and manage databases in MS SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning</li>\n <li>Integrate applications with Azure infrastructure components, Azure DevOps pipelines, and SAML/OKTA authentication services</li>\n <li>Support and maintain existing production applications built on frameworks including Google Polymer, React JS, Quartz.NET, jQuery, and Bootstrap</li>\n <li>Participate in code reviews, establish development standards, and guide junior developers</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain applications in Microsoft Azure DevOps, following CI/CD best practices</li>\n <li>Collaborate with database administrators, system administrators, and program managers to deliver integrated solutions</li>\n <li>Produce technical documentation, including design specifications and API documentation</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Years of Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS. or M.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 10 years of software development experience, including 3 years in an agile environment</li>\n <li>Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, .NET Core MVC, C#, MS SQL Server, and web technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Azure-hosted application environments and Microsoft Azure DevOps</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Background Requirements: </strong>Must possess or be eligible to obtain and successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Citizenship Status Required: </strong>Must be a <u>U.S. Citizen</u></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> None required for this position.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong></p>490 L’Enfant Plaza, SWWashington, District of Columbia 20594\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>#LI-JL1</strong></p>\n<h2>Working at DMI</h2>\n<p>DMI is a diverse, prosperous, and rewarding place to work.
