We recognize our employees hard work and dedication are the driving force of our success, and we continually look for ways to reward them.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our Ballston Spa location is looking to find an <u>experienced hard working individual</u> to join our team as a Front End Supervisor!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role involves engaging in face to face, phone, and electronic sales by utilizing exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed sales and margin goals. It also involves supervising assigned employees appropriately & effectively.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>$20 - $24 per hour with annual performance based raises!</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h1><u>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</u></h1>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Leadership/Management</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Monitor employees daily activity and delegate or assign work as appropriate</li>\n   <li>Prepare and distribute work schedules</li>\n   <li>Challenge and develop employees’ performance, provide feedback, and hold direct reports accountable for their goals and job responsibilities </li>\n   <li>Ensure timely, accurate review of weekly time record reports and employee expenses for payroll processing</li>\n   <li>Assist with candidate selection and interview process for new hires</li>\n   <li>Motivate employees and offer opportunity and reward appropriately</li>\n   <li>Make recommendations to supervisor regarding efforts to control employee turnover</li>\n   <li>Make recommendations to supervisor regarding employee performance for coaching, review, and disciplinary efforts</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>Performance Expectations</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Excellent attitude and customer service skills </li>\n   <li>Effectively research and resolve customer complaints and conflicts</li>\n   <li>Do It Right the First Time - Strive to eliminate errors, prioritize work accuracy, seek opportunities to improve efficiencies</li>\n  </ul>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Interact and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers in a positive and professional manner</li>\n   <li>Take responsibility for job performance of employees and overall customer satisfaction at their location</li>\n   <li>Maintain a neat, clean store and yard appearance</li>\n   <li>Practice good merchandising including setup and traffic flow</li>\n   <li>Maintain inventory levels and notify appropriate person of out stocks</li>\n   <li>Rotate stock</li>\n   <li>Manage shrink by utilizing proper procedures for cull and damaged product</li>\n   <li>Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts</li>\n   <li>Meet and or exceed individual sales goals</li>\n   <li>Meet and or exceed individual margin goals</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>Sales Expectations</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Understand the marketplace</li>\n   <li>Know product features</li>\n   <li>Manage order profitability</li>\n   <li>Ensure department is prepared daily for sales and promotions</li>\n   <li>Work with Manager to develop and grow customer base and sales volume</li>\n   <li>Demonstrate and teach effective upgrade selling and closing techniques</li>\n   <li>Set example for employees; teach and mentor</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>Manage Order Profitability </strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Issue accurate and complete orders</li>\n   <li>Manage open order report</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>Safety Expectations</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Comply with all safety policies and procedures</li>\n   <li>Complete required monthly safety involvement</li>\n   <li>Use proper PPE when required</li>\n   <li>Maintain a safe work environment</li>\n   <li>Be always aware of surroundings</li>\n   <li>Always work safely</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>General Expectations</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Comply with all Company policies and procedures</li>\n   <li>Develop new and existing skills through educational programs including, seminars, product knowledge training and clinics</li>\n   <li>Willing to become a member of a committee/team for current or new programs to ensure their success</li>\n   <li>Attendance at Company/store meetings is mandatory</li>\n  </ul><p><strong>Other duties may be assigned</strong></p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Curtis Lumber we embrace a culture of accountability and safety.
