    "description": "<h2>Job Details</h2>\n<p>Support Services |Miamisburg| Full Time|Days</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.  </li>\n <li>Master in Business Administration or Accountancy, preferred.</li>\n <li>Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in public accounting or healthcare.</li>\n <li>Experience with Single Audits, preferred.</li>\n <li>CPA or CPA candidate status (or plans to pursue certification), preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>General Ledger Management:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintenance of the general ledger, including testing upgrades and patches.</li>\n <li>Management of the Allscripts report writer used for financial statement and other ad hoc reports.</li>\n <li>Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> <strong>Account Reconciliation:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including the review of senior accountants’ reconciliation.</li>\n <li>Maintenance of Blackline.</li>\n <li><strong>Financial Reporting:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure the review monthly analysis of the quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports for management and auditors, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.</li>\n <li>Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends and performance.</li>\n <li>Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenses to ensure financial stability.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> <strong>Month-End/Year-End Close:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and accurate with a focus on more complex/estimation accounts.</li>\n <li>Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts, including complex and estimation areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> <strong>Regulatory</strong> <strong>Compliance:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure 990 tax filings, and other related documents are filed accurately and timely.</li>\n <li>Coordinate external audits (Annual financial statement audit, Single audit and any IRS audits).</li>\n <li>Complete the audited financial statements and footnotes, and responding to inquiries during the annual audit process.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with health care industry regulations, GAAP, and organizational policies.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices affecting health care finances.</li>\n <li>Work with Internal Audit and Compliance with requests.</li>\n <li>Maintain and improve internal control systems and policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Process Improvement/Internal Controls:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency.</li>\n <li>Implement and streamline financial systems and processes.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on accounting software, technology, and best practices.</li>\n <li>Support adherence to company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions, accounting, and reporting.</li>\n <li>Assist with updating/drafting finance policies for Kettering Health. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Budget:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.</li>\n <li>Monitor budgets for various departments, including analyzing variance to actuals.</li>\n <li>Assist in long-term financial planning and forecasting activities.</li>\n <li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.</li>\n <li>Assign tasks, set performance goals, and evaluate employee performance.</li>\n <li>Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Duties as Assigned:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead or participate in special projects or perform other duties as assigned by management.</li>\n <li>Support the development and implementation of financial strategies.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze relevant data.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
