Proudly voted one of Pennsylvania&rsquo;s Top Workplaces, LTI offers the stability of a long-standing company with the excitement of work that impacts industries worldwide.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>This is a 2<sup>nd</sup> shift role working Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 11pm at our facility in Hatfield, PA</strong></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>A Day in the Life of a Saw Operator:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Reviews instructions and cutting requirements on job envelopes.&nbsp;</li><li>Uses proper techniques for speeds and feed of different alloys in cutting.&nbsp;</li><li>Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains traceability of test pieces and customer scrap at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Stamps proper identification and location on test specimens, when required.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures that the saws and other shop equipment to be utilized are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work. &nbsp;Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, as necessary and appropriate and within guidelines as established by the supervisor or manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to insure that established schedules are met. &nbsp;The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with maintaining shop equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled and performing repair maintenance as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Understands and complies with LTI&rsquo;s QA Program at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with the proper disposal of scrap metals from within the department.&nbsp;</li><li>Complies with all company policies and procedures at all times.&nbsp;</li><li>Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Machine Shop Supervisor or Manager.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Must possess high school diploma or GED.</li><li>Previous sawing experience preferred, but not required</li><li>Experience with Marvel saws, Hyd-Mech saws, Shear and belt sanders preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to process work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Must have the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.</li><li><span data-teams=\"true\" id=\"isPasted\">Must meet citizenship eligibility required by accrediting bodies.</span></li></ul><p>This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
