The role starts with managing the construction of multiple homes in an assigned subdivision from permit to closing by scheduling job site subcontractors, scheduling several homebuyer walk-throughs, and inspections to ensure the work performed meets quality standards and adheres to company guidelines and specifications. The location of the assigned subdivision is determined by the Area Construction Manager and subject to change as needed in the interest of the Company.</p><h2>Supervisory Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.</li></ul><h2>Duties/Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Oversee the construction of multiple homes, in multiple communities, from start to finish</li><li>Maintain a high level of quality and consistency throughout each home&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure homes are built within the time frame allocated and within budget&nbsp;</li><li>Inform Purchasing of all take-off errors or material issues</li><li>Watch your expenses and stay at or under budget</li><li>Build excellent rapport with home buyers and new homeowners&nbsp;</li><li>Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain community and job site cleanliness at all times</li><li>Install and maintain Sold and Available signs on all homes under construction&nbsp;</li><li>Manage material waste and misuse of materials</li><li>Adhere to and manage Jobsite Safety at all times</li><li>Work closely with the on-site Sales Counselors and communicate often</li><li>Redline new home start packages and distribute to trades and vendors</li><li>Ensure homes close when they are scheduled, or sooner&nbsp;</li><li>Walk your homes several times daily</li><li>Maintain an organized house file for each address</li><li>Conduct pre-construction, pre-drywall, pre-settlement, and sign-off meetings with each homebuyer</li><li>Weekly communication with each buyer is required every Monday with your Sales Counselor</li><li>Complete warranty letters in a timely manner</li><li>Promote Legend Homes in a positive manner at all times&nbsp;</li><li>Be the best you can be!!!</li></ul><h2>Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations</li><li>Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays</li><li>Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems</li><li>Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings</li><li>Knowledge of and familiar with operating basic computer systems and programs (i.e. Windows, Adobe, Microsoft Office &ndash; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)</li><li>Ability to speak Spanish preferred</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time</li><li>Ability to travel the greater Dallas Fort Worth area is required</li><li>Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues on a jobsite</li></ul><h2><br></h2><h2>About Us</h2><p><strong>Legend Homes</strong> constructs, designs, and sells affordable homes in premier communities without sacrificing style.
