Description
Overview
This paid internship supports the People Experience team at National Debt Relief (NDR) through two primary workstreams: (1) document management operations in support of the Dayforce HCM implementation and SharePoint historical records migration, and (2) general People Experience support. This role is designed for a motivated intern eager to gain hands-on experience in HR operations within a fast-paced, people-first organization.
Responsibilities
Document Management — Dayforce & SharePoint Migration
Support the migration of historical team member documents (January 2019 – March 2026) into a structured SharePoint repository, following established folder hierarchy and naming conventions
Upload new and active team member documents into Dayforce as the system of record for all documents dated April 2026 and forward
Maintain a tracking log of completed document uploads and migrations, including date, employee population, and file location
Identify and escalate misfiled, mislabeled, or duplicate documents to the People Experience Operations Manager
Assist with quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of uploaded records
Support the development and adherence to the document management SOP in collaboration with the People Experience Operations team
General People Experience Support
Provide support to the People Experience team across ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
Assist with internal communications drafting, reporting, and document preparation as requested by People Experience leadership
Support coordination of People Team operational excellence initiatives within the 2026 OKR framework
Participate in team meetings and contribute observations and process improvement ideas
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
Prior coursework or internship experience in Human Resources, Operations, or a related field preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint/Teams-based file management
Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong written communication skills; able to draft professional internal correspondence
Familiarity with HRIS or document management systems preferred; Dayforce experience a plus
Experience with Monday.com, SharePoint, or similar project management and collaboration tools preferred
NDR Role Qualifications:
Computer competency, including the use of a keyboard and ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
Work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.
Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.
Take constructive feedback.
Available for internship duration of 90 days from start date, subject to extension based on business need.

Compensation Information Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $17/ hr.
