Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated &amp; qualified individual, with experience in quality assurance and quality control testing of materials related to soils and aggregates in the field. Candidate should have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles with a geotechnical focus, and a desire to work on multi-disciplinary projects. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting various highway and/or bridge construction projects across New Jersey, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with established standards, specifications, and regulations. This role will also involve office engineer duties as outlined below. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work schedule varies according to job assignments and/or contractors' schedule, to include night work, weekends, and holidays. This job requires travel to various job sites.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What you'll do:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Material quality services are completed through field operations in all the major material disciplines as directed (soils, aggregate, metals, structures, asphalt, concrete coatings, and paints).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Inspect soil boring operations -- roadway borings, retaining wall borings, bridge borings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Soil identification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare field boring logs in accordance with NJ Turnpike procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Install wells and record monitoring well data.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Enter data for Test calculations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain project records.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to document daily inspections and various other reports.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide daily inspections of highway and/or bridge construction projects and inspect related work materials to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and state regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, including recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitor and document the progress of construction activities, identifying any deviations from the planned schedule or specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communicate with prime and other subcontractors.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate with project team members, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve any issues that arise during construction.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that the contracted drilling firm carries out its work in accordance with contract specification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on-site.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Attend meetings and conferences as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Travel to various project sites.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Who you are:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geological Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiar with ASTM and AASHTO standards for testing and inspections.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proficient in Microsoft Office and project/construction management software.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Valid driver's license, consistent means of transportation to/from project sites, and willingness to travel to various project sites within New Jersey.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;
