Scope of Position
The primary function of the Breakfast Attendant will be to assist with the Valencia Room operations, and ensure the restaurant operation meets guest’s needs, guest’s satisfaction, and maximizes financial performance.
Position Requirements
Previous experience as a breakfast attendant or in a hospitality role is preferred.
Enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift items for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that tables are cleared efficiently, and the dining area remains clean and presentable.
A positive and friendly demeanor, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
A proactive and helpful attitude, always seeking ways to assist and support the overall guest experience.
A food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
Buffet: Brew coffee, stock coffee condiments stations. Once the coffee has brewed add dry coffee grounds. Replenish juice and milk machines. Fill the ice bin and display fresh fruits.
Buffet: Display and replenish pastries. Stock disposable plates and cutlery. Add serving utensils to all stations.
Table Bussing: Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished their meals or drinks, ensuring a clean and inviting dining area.
Table Resetting: Reset tables with clean tableware, napkins, and condiments to prepare for the next group of guests.
Dishwashing: Assist with washing ensuring a continuous supply of clean items for service.
Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and helpful manner, aiding and answering any questions they may have.
Floor Maintenance: Keep the dining room clean and tidy, sweeping, and mopping floors as needed.
Trash and Recycling: Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
High Energy: Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout the shift.
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Education
High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate in the English language (Second language is a plus).
Ability to engage with guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/ machinery.
Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
Able to perform multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements
Physical agility and ability to move quickly in confined spaces.
Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
Ability to push/pull/lift to 50 lbs.
Think clearly in high stress and intense situations.
