    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Adjunct Faculty, General Dentistry- The Lyon College School of Dental Medicine welcomes</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">applications from candidates for several adjunct faculty positions.</span> This position will encompass several </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">areas of activity, with the major component devoted to teaching of general dentistry at the preclinical </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">and clinical levels that includes the supervision of DMD students as they conduct simulated and live </span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">patient care activities in the College’s simulation and comprehensive care clinics.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clinical and didactic teaching </li>\n<li>Overseeing patient care in the college’s clinics</li>\n<li>Regular attendance is an essential function of the job</li>\n<li>Participation on the admissions committee and other committees as assigned</li>\n<li>May be required to perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">Individual must possess the knowledge and the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">combination of skills and abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"> Supervisory and clinical leadership skills and experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"> Public speaking skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"> Familiarity with HIPAA, FERPA, OSHA, and laws/regulations pertaining to the practice of</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">dentistry in Arkansas</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">Dental degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent</span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"> </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">Must be eligible for licensure in Arkansas at the time of application and have an active license</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">at the time of hire</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\"> Minimum of five years clinical experience is preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">Teaching experience at the pre-doctoral level is preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">Lyon College is a USN&amp;WR “top tier” national liberal arts college and recognized by Forbes as “One of</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">America’s Top Colleges.” Founded in 1872, the College is one of the oldest institutions of higher</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">education in Arkansas and offers undergraduates exceptional preparation for their post-baccalaureate</span><br><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px\">objectives.
