ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Schedule/Hours: Full-time This position is responsible for: Under the general supervision of the Divisional Social Services Director, the Compliance Manager will develop, organize, and manage the grant compliance and social service operations for the Social Services Department of the KTN Division. The incumbent will manage all post-award grant activities for new grants/contracts and the grant lifecycle including reporting and close-out activities for all existing social service grants and contracts (i.e., OVC, CDBG, EFSP, United Way, HUD, DOC, ESG, Veteran’s Affairs, etc.) administered in the Division. He/she will ensure grant compliance by understanding its Key Performance Indicators (KPI), communicating KPIs to the Officer and appropriate command employees, training staff on how to measure and track KPI data, routinely monitor financial expenditures and program outcome management objectives to ensure that program activities are compliant with funding requirements, regulations, and ethical expectations of The Salvation Army’s National Social Services Standard. The incumbent will develop and implement a mechanism for monitoring the achievement of KPIs, reporting infractions, reviewing activities for possible risks and liability, and research and communicate corrective measures to the team. The incumbent will provide grant training to the appropriate employees to ensure they understand the requirements and KPIs; assist with analyzing, interpreting, and applying Federal, State, Local Governments statutes, rules, and regulations regarding grant administration. Concurrently, in collaboration with the Divisional Grants and Research Manager, Development, Legal, Risk Management, and Safe from Harm, he/she will establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship to effectively organize, manage, establish a file retention process, and document workflow. Key Responsibilities: Provides administrative, operational, and compliance support to manage grants related to all Social Service and community-based programs. Informs the Divisional Social Services Director of the status of all documents in process and consults on documents that are unusual, different, or outside the standard/routine type. Collaborate with the Divisional Grants and Contracts Manager and Development Team to obtain and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) from newly awarded grants. Assess the Command/Corps ability to adhere to Grant Performance. Communicate KPI outcomes to Commands and Corps Officers, Supervisors, and key staff in the field. Develop a training mechanism on KPIs for all new and existing Federal, State local and complex Foundation grants. Collaborate with the Finance Team to determine the program's funding needs. Manage Grants timelines and deliverables. Monitor expenditures of all funding and outcome documentation. Ensure reporting protocols are in line with grant requirements. In consultation with Commands and Corps officers, determine employees’ training and development needs based on KPIs of new and existing grants. Coordinates and conducts ongoing training and development for all employees related to grant reporting protocols to maintain a uniform set of standards for all employees associated with reporting, accounting, and program participation. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Works is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. He/she will ensure grant compliance by understanding its Key Performance Indicators (KPI), communicating KPIs to the Officer and appropriate command employees, training staff on how to measure and track KPI data, routinely monitor financial expenditures and program outcome management objectives to ensure that program activities are compliant with funding requirements, regulations, and ethical expectations of The Salvation Army&rsquo;s National Social Services Standard. The incumbent will develop and implement a mechanism for monitoring the achievement of KPIs, reporting infractions, reviewing activities for possible risks and liability, and research and communicate corrective measures to the team. The incumbent will provide grant training to the appropriate employees to ensure they understand the requirements and KPIs; assist with analyzing, interpreting, and applying Federal, State, Local Governments statutes, rules, and regulations regarding grant administration.
