    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The New York College of Podiatric Medicine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Podiatrist to join the Surgery department. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, be comfortable speaking in front of large audiences, and exhibit qualities of engagement, approachability, patience, and kindness. The Podiatrist will play a vital role in educating and mentoring students as well as residents in the field of Podiatric Medicine.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Adherence to Time and Effort Schedule</li>\n <li>Service on a minimum of 2 College or Clinic committees</li>\n <li>Establish a regular schedule for student academic consultation and performance evaluation</li>\n <li>Provision of administrative assistance to immediate supervisor as requested</li>\n <li>Preparation and submission of a syllabus for the didactic material in your course, including lesson plans (stating knowledge objectives), coordinated skill objectives and required reading materials</li>\n <li>Preparation and submission of a current curriculum vitae each year</li>\n <li>Preparation and administration of interim, final and make-up examinations in accordance with College policies</li>\n <li>Adherence to the College policies on grading as stated in the Faculty Handbook and Student Handbook</li>\n <li>Provision of all grades to the Registrar's Office in a timely fashion</li>\n <li>Notification of the Dean of Student Services, on that day, in the event that a student is absent from classes or clinical rotations on three consecutive calendar days or for two consecutive meetings for classes/rotations that do not meet daily</li>\n <li>Provision, as needs demand, of reserve time for individual student conferences/tutoring time</li>\n <li>Advise interested students regarding independent research and/or provision of such advice in your area of expertise</li>\n <li>Attendance and participation at Grand Rounds and Clinical Pathological Conferences (where applicable)</li>\n <li>Distinguish one's self within his/her profession, via one or more of the following activities: publication in recognized scientific conferences; publication in recognized scientific texts/journals; funded research or research approved by the College Peer Review Committee; other scholarly works; on a yearly basis</li>\n <li>Attendance at all required faculty and division meetings</li>\n <li>Advise immediate supervisor of all emergency and known absence dates from scheduled duties</li>\n <li>Participation in personal evaluation processes and remediation, as required</li>\n <li>Adhere to the Faculty Dress Code as stated in the Faculty Handbook</li>\n <li>Attend the Graduation Ceremony, White Coat Ceremony and Annual Retreat</li>\n <li>Provide academic or clinical coverage outside of normal scheduled hours for non-emergency assignments when given reasonable advance notice</li>\n <li>Provide academic or clinical coverage for all emergency assignments</li>\n <li>Become proficient in the utilization of educational and clinical technology products acquired by the College or Clinic for use in its programs</li>\n <li>Participation in College recruitment presentations, Admission interviews and Open House events, when feasible</li>\n <li>Carry out the general responsibilities of full-time faculty, ie, to promote the sound development of your respective duties in keeping with the mission, goals and objectives of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine</li>\n <li>Clinical faculty may be assigned for patient care at any of the affiliated hospitals or clinics</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree.</li>\n <li>Must have completed an approved Podiatric residency program</li>\n <li>Must be Board Certified</li>\n <li>NYS License and current DEA Certificate</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong attention to details required</li>\n <li>Effectively manage and organize daily tasks, independently and with a team, while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines required</li>\n <li>Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks required</li>\n <li>A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required</li>\n <li>Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Travel</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>May be assigned for patient care at any of the affiliated hospitals or clinics.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $142,800.00/Yr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $114,240.00/Yr.",
