    "description": "<p>RUSH Facilities is seeking an HVAC technician to perform installations and repairs on commercial HVAC/R equipment and systems. Must be able to plan and perform installations, conduct testing, perform troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance and repairs involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and refrigeration related control systems.<span> </span><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">If you’re looking for a great place to work that’s involved in exciting projects on the booming Space Coast of Florida, then please apply!</span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RUSH Facilities HVAC tech requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>Valid Drivers' License</li>\n<li>EPA 608 Universal certification</li>\n<li>Five years working as a HVAC technician on Commercial equipment preferred<br></li>\n<li>HVAC technician training; HVAC license preferred.</li>\n<li>U.S. citizen</li>\n<li>Must be able to obtain clearance to Kennedy Space Center</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RUSH Facilities HVAC tech position duties &amp; responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. Ensures changes to plans and drawings are communicated to management.</li>\n<li>Responsible for daily HVAC work performed at facility.</li>\n<li>Coordinates additional support needed by outside contracts and vendors as needed to maintain the integrity of all related systems.</li>\n<li>Orders necessary stock and repair parts to maintain operations.</li>\n<li>Screws, bolts, rivets, welds, and brazes parts to assemble structural and functional components such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring harnesses, valves, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.</li>\n<li>Cut, thread, and connect pipes to functional components to water or power system on premises.</li>\n<li>Pumps specified gas or fluid into system.</li>\n<li>Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.</li>\n<li>Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.</li>\n<li>Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.</li>\n<li>Fills pipe system with steam, water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.</li>\n<li>Other duties as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>RUSH Facilities HVAC techs will receive company-provided training including, but not limited to, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Safety, Accident Reporting and Prevention, and others, and applies this training during working hours as applicable. Financial assistance may be provided for professional courses/training related to the trade.</p>\n<p>RUSH Facilities HVAC techs will be expected to report unsafe working conditions to appropriate level as required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span><br>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Exposure to hot (up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit) and Cold (down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit) for short periods of time (and with appropriate protective equipment) may be experienced. Exposure to humid and wet environments is also anticipated. Transitioning from job site to job site within the environment may require the ability to bend, crawl and climb safely. The work environment frequently requires exposure to mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles such as dust and water vapor, possible electric shock, chemicals of a toxic or corrosive nature and vibration (may be present at times) in the work environment.
