We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, <strong><em>construction administration &amp; inspection</em></strong>, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting &amp; installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>We are looking for <strong>Inspectors</strong> <strong>| Construction Services&nbsp;</strong>who will play a key role in all aspects of construction administration, inspection and testing services for state, county, and local Clients. You&rsquo;ll be involved in the testing and inspection aspects of wide variety of construction projects including those primarily in the roadway/bridge arena (but may also include water/wastewater, aviation, commercial, and municipal utility/infrastructure sectors). Frequent travel within this region is expected.</li><li>A stipend for personal vehicle use or a company take-home vehicle will be provided, based on the assignment.&nbsp;</li><li>ODOT project experience is a strong plus.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Read project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work on a variety of construction projects.</li><li>Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Inspect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals on roadway and bridge projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Verify plan quantities and calculations are within bid plans.</li><li>Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.</li><li>Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.&nbsp;</li><li>Possibly conduct hazardous material surveys, as well as asbestos abatement monitoring services during abatement projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel.</li><li>Notify the Project Engineer with status updates or non-conforming work.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of engineering, construction, testing and inspection principles.</li><li>Experience with materials and lab testing.</li><li>Experience with quality control testing and compliance specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with standard testing and observation methods.</li><li>Understanding of construction or engineering services.</li><li>Experience in performing quality control initiatives and performance testing.</li><li>Skill in lab reporting, writing reports and maintaining records.</li><li>Ability to manage projects with little/no supervision.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability of monitoring construction and demolition environments.</li><li>Must be able to interact well with others.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in external environment conditions during difficult weather. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to provide status updates independently.</li><li>Be quality-minded and client-focused.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Minimum Qualifications</u>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong plus if you have completed the ODOT Certified Technician program&hellip;.
