Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families and other visitors.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SHIFT AND SCHEDULE</strong></p>\n<p>Full Time</p>\n<p>Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains current knowledge of medications and administers medications in accordance with the hospital policy.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates positive effective communication, including education with patients and families, physicians and other healthcare team members, and professional communications skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates proficiency in using the electronic medical record providing accurate, timely and complete documentation of plan of care updates and assessments and respect of patient’s rights and confidentiality.</li>\n <li>Provide a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers, including hand-washing, and adherence to infection control policies.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate professionalism including current AED’s and other competencies, following dress code policies, participation in orientation of new team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participation in ongoing learning including plans to advance education preferred.</li>\n <li>Current State of Texas License as a Vocational Nurse</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS </strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. <strong>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</strong> The individual must be able to:</p>\n<p>· Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits. </p>",
