Intertek's project-related assurance, testing, inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of your new developments, existing assets and facilities.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>The <strong>Testing Technician</strong> is responsible to assist lead technicians in advanced geophysical work, which primarily consists of subsoil utility engineering and location below grade piping and utilities.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Monday – Friday, Approx. 7-5&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with performing subsurface/underground utility locating work at client sites and collaborate with additional field crews</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate effectively with client and project teams&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with processing of geophysical and survey data utilizing specialized software</li><li>Prepare and review reports for subsurface utility engineering and other underground utility surveys</li><li>In-office drafting review with our design team in AutoCAD and Revit software</li><li>Maintain testing equipment to ensure it is in good working order and within calibration</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results and possess a mechanical aptitude</li><li>Familiarity with Quality Assurance policies and procedures which relate to the control, storage, and disposition of test specimens</li><li>Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work&nbsp;</li><li>Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more, sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull, etc. as required to perform job duties</li><li>Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision</li><li>Ability to travel as business needs indicate</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in a technical field desired or equivalent related experience</li><li>General construction background and experience using power tools</li><li>Familiarity with utility locating</li></ul><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
