We enable them to work with a single source to get their product the market access success they need.</p><p><strong><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p><strong>Test Technician&nbsp;</strong>is responsible for &nbsp;product testing and evaluation as well as preparing technical reports. This role supports the testing and evaluation of construction-industry products.</p><p><strong><u>SALARY &amp; BENEFITS INFORMATION</u></strong></p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES</u></strong></span></p><ul><li>Conduct material and fire resistance tests on building materials and components to ensure compliance with transportation and military standards</li><li>Perform a range of technical measurements and tests on various building-product materials</li><li>Follow established procedures and working under direct supervision to carry out all assigned test activities</li><li>Operate &amp; calibrate equipment: Ensure proper function and accuracy of all testing instruments.</li><li>Maintain facilities &amp; equipment: Perform routine cleanings, minor repairs, and organize workspace</li><li>Prepare test samples &amp; controls: Create, label, and document specimens for mechanical, fire, and quality-control testing</li><li>Execute standardized test methods: Collect and record data following established protocols</li><li>Analyze &amp; calculate results: Perform basic statistical checks and routine calculations on test outcomes</li><li>Document &amp; communicate findings: Log results in instrument logs, control charts, calibration records, lab worksheets, and generate concise project reports</li><li>Manage inventory intake: Receive and record incoming materials slated for testing</li><li>Maintain orderliness: Keep documentation, tools, and workspaces neat, safe, and compliant</li><li>Perform other duties as required</li></ul><p><span><strong><u>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></span></p><ul><li>High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred</li><li>1-3 years laboratory experience</li><li>Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools</li><li>Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner</li><li>Must have a good grasp of mathematics, and science&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats</li><li>Physical ability to routinely lift at least 50 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook</li></ul><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
