Our best coordinators are aggressive, energetic problem solvers who thrive in our fast-paced work environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:</strong></p><ul><li>Tender shipments in a manner that optimizes and consolidates loads to meet customer demands and maximize efficiency and profit.</li><li>Track and Trace Shipment Progress and update customers on the status of loads.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Negotiate rates with carriers and assign drivers to loads, to make sure shipments pick up as scheduled.</li><li>Follow-up and communicate status of shipments to ensure on-time customer delivery requirements are met.</li><li>Proactive communication with account representatives and sales representatives regarding issues and updates.</li><li>Regular and predictable attendance.</li></ul><p><strong>OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:</strong></p><ul><li>Exercise decision-making abilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Post freight on websites when needed, to ensure visibility to carriers.</li><li>Reliability to be able to fill in on other boards and assist in operations duties, if needed, for coverage and/or volume needs.</li><li>Load maintenance- work with other departments to resolve pending issues, close loads that have delivered, call applicable parties to collect load-related paperwork.
