    "description": "<p><span>Summary</span></p>\n<p>The experienced electrical Project Manager is accountable for the success of all aspects of data center construction projects, from bidding and contract award through completion.  Responsibilities include outlining and delegating tasks, creating timelines, estimating and adhering to costs, mitigating risks, and nurturing positive client relationships.  The PM collaborates with all other departments within the organization, including purchasing, accounting, engineering, and safety as well as field supervision, general contractors, construction managers and inspectors.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Opportunities exist to be based out of our Oak Brook office overseeing Chicagoland constructions locations or on-site at remote hyper-scale data center construction sites throughout the Midwest.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll do:</span></p>\n<p><span>Project and Account Management:</span><span> </span>manage overall schedule and milestones; financial, labor and change order tracking; materials purchasing and deliveries; forecast jobs' materials and labor; billing</p>\n<p><span>Business Development and Customer Relations:</span><span> </span>maintain customer relationships; manage large accounts; propagate $1-2m new business annually</p>\n<p><span>Estimating:</span>  determine materials take-off; review project scope and final bid; finalize summary sheet</p>\n<p><span>Site Management: </span><span> </span>visit job sites; conduct job meetings, build trust with field staff and collaborate with site superintendents; coordinate subcontractors</p>\n<p><span>Team Leadership:</span>  provide mentorship to less senior PMs; manage expectations of contributing office personnel; assume responsibility for project financials and outcomes</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>What you'll need for success:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Bachelors degree, preferably in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field or progressively increasing responsibilities in field electrical construction capacities.</li>\n<li><br>Minimum 3 -7+ years’ experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction or a closely related field.</li>\n<li><br>Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management of large electrical construction jobs exceeding $5m (data center construction preferred). Experience for large Tech or Fortune 500 company data center a plus.</li>\n<li><br>PMP certification a plus.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience estimating construction jobs and forecasting/projecting materials and labor throughout the projects.</li>\n<li>Proven success satisfying construction project KPIs</li>\n<li><br>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n<li><br>Professionalism, with excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills.</li>\n<li><br>Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills.</li>\n<li><br>Superior time management skills with a proven ability to manage and satisfy competing deadlines.</li>\n<li><br>Superior analytical, detail, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li><br>Demonstrated influence and leadership abilities.</li>\n<li><br>Electrical/LV/Energy System knowledge.</li>\n<li><br>High energy and adaptable under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Founded in 1912, Continental Electrical Construction Company is the number one electrical construction company in Chicago and its suburbs, as well as one of the largest in the Midwest.
