    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This position is for an experienced maintenance crew member responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of plant equipment at an industrial feed manufacturing facility. Areas of expertise in the operation of associated electrical equipment is emphasized. Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in timely manner. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Candidates with 5+ years of experience off, employment assistance program, employee appreciation events, and more. </em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs electrical maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis</li>\n <li>Repairs, Replacements, Installations, Alterations, Troubleshooting, Cleaning, and Testing for the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Electrical Motors and associated components such as Starters, MCC’s and VFD’s</li>\n   <li>Distribution equipment such as Panelboards and Switchgear</li>\n   <li>Conductors and Terminations</li>\n   <li>Sensors and Instrumentation</li>\n   <li>Conduits, Raceways and Fittings</li>\n   <li>LED, HID and Incandescent Lighting</li>\n   <li>Standard components such as Transformers, Plugs, Receptacles, Fixtures and devices</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Communicates directly with production to coordinate maintenance and repair work</li>\n <li>Cares for and ensures safe use of company provided tools</li>\n <li>Obtain certification for the use of industrial vehicles and aerial work platform equipment</li>\n <li>Work in confined spaces</li>\n <li>Adherence to NEC and local codes</li>\n <li>Patrols electrical and non-electrical equipment to verify safe and efficient operating conditions</li>\n <li>Performs preventive maintenance activities as required</li>\n <li>Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by the supervisor</li>\n <li>Works with contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems</li>\n <li>Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness</li>\n <li>Must be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma is required</li>\n <li>Proof of 8000 hours or (5) years of experience in a related field</li>\n <li>Technical experience, working with sensors and instrumentation</li>\n <li>Proof of previous or current enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or certification as a general electrician preferred </li>\n <li>Proof of Arc-Flash PPE training preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to identify hazards and work proactively to mitigate risks</li>\n <li>Ability to use simple test equipment such as a DMM and an insulation tester for troubleshooting</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and anticipate electrical component failures</li>\n <li>Ability to read electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics and manuals</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a professional manner </li>\n <li>Knowledge of grounding systems and grounding requirements </li>\n <li>Knowledge of typical plant operational processes and procedures, including routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industrial equipment and operations </li>\n <li>Mechanical experience</li>\n <li>Experience with Arc-Flash hazards and wearing the appropriate PPE. </li>\n <li>Experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems </li>\n <li>Experience with industrial vehicles such as Forklifts and Manlifts</li>\n <li>Experience with typical PPE such as Hard hat, Safety glasses, and Fall Protection</li>\n <li>Experience with Lockout, Tagout, Blockout, (LOTOBO) (Machine Specific)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of PC/PLC/HMI </li>\n <li>Proficiency with basic computer software such as word processors and spreadsheets</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work with all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse group</li>\n <li>Ability to write detailed repair reports</li>\n <li>Must have good verbal communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirments</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to perform job duties while wearing a respirator</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and work overhead, to stoop and to crouch</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical and electrically energized parts</li>\n <li>The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions</li>\n <li>The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions</li>\n <li>The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Note:</em></strong><em>  Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes. </em><em>Management retains the discretion to add to or change the
